IT Experience

From small beginnings at the age of 4 with his first Olivetti M24, Jake was in a world of his own learning the ins and outs of this fascinating machine. Growing up with DOS then onto Windows, he very quickly became familiar with all aspects of using, building and upgrading his home PC’s. Soon after Jake was off to study at RMIT and he saw a lot being done in Apples Logic software and was keen to get on the Apple platform, purchasing his first Mac Pro.

This then became a whole other level of excitement, being able to learn a whole new operating system and how it was different to the PC. He then went on to purchasing a MacBook for university and loved working on the Apple Mac.  This then gave him the chance to learn all about the whole world of Apple, on which platform he spent most of his time using, customising and digging under the hood to figure out how every aspect of how MacOS worked.

In 2018 he started working for an Apple Support company, where he acquired his Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) Certification, and assisted many Apple users troubleshooting their Apple products. As well as learning and building on his networking and general IT knowledge base, he realised that there was just something about helping others use their technology better, that really made him tick. Having worked with some amazing clients, he wants to always be able to help others, teach, train and support clients big and small, enabling them to use their technology in ways that work well for them.

With this experience in IT, specialising in Apple products and supporting their users, Jake is more than happy to help you or your business get the most out of your technology, and more importantly just being there for people and being able to give them the assistance and support needed to let them get the best out of what they want to do with their technology.

Multimedia Experience
As well as IT support, Jake is a fully trained Audio Engineer, having completed his studies at RMIT University, he has a natural yet polished outlook on sound and recording music in the studio.

He has been around all types of music. From a young age, growing up with listening to his Dads music, to the sounds of the 80s electronic music.  Finding his own favourite genres in the 90s, including house, dance, techno and anything with a 4 on the floor beat.

After just taking to making a few different mix CD's in 2005-2006 this wasn’t enough. He then started to take his music career more seriously when he started making bootlegs of different dance tracks around 2006-2007. He had a lot of success with his bootleg “king be good to me” which featured in the top 10 of the Australian Bootleg Club Charts (ABCC) in 2007. Also, as he saw uplifting reactions when playing other various bootlegs of his on the dance floor, he then decided to take it to the next level.

With mix compilations featuring various different bootlegs of his own and other dance tracks from all around the globe, his compilations titled “Electrovox” kept him busy for at least two years, Electrovox Vol 1 – Jan 2006 started the compilations, and they kept coming each month until July 2008, where they slowed as Jake moved to his new love of producing his own tracks.

2009 came and he was playing around with a lot of different sounds, samples and vocal cuts. He decided to put all this into use, coming up with a few different tracks and remixes of his own here and there.  Finally to tie this all together, he started an Advanced Diploma in Sound Production at one of Melbournes best universities RMIT, where he has worked alongside many expert sound engineers, learning all the tricks of the trade.  Adding to this, doing a short course of composition at SOS Melbourne.

With this experience, and his great ability to style shift to each artist, let Jake help in any audio related projects, and let the creativity unfold.
